Ideal Image, based in Tampa Florida, is the largest US retail provider of non-surgical cosmetic procedures with 130 centers across North America.  The company is private-equity backed and has aggressive plans to expand the business by adding more centers and increasing the breadth and depth of services within each center.


The company offers a broad range of services including laser hair removal, CoolSculpting, wrinkle reduction and other services that improve physical appearance to enhance self-image and build self-confidence. All services are FDA-cleared/approved and rigorously tested at the company’s R&D center; the services in each center are performed by registered nurses or other medically trained professionals.


The System Administrator maintains a stable and robust computing environment for users within the company and companies external clients. This includes maintaining uptime on all servers, improving system features and usability for clients, daily monitoring and implementing new solutions to enhance and advance the user performance and productivity. 

The System Administrator must have ability to articulate a technical vision that coincides with, and fully supports the overall business process. This position works with the Desktop Support Team, Developers, Business Analysts, external vendors, and application administrators to research and implement IT solutions to meet core business requirements.

This position is also responsible for managing all servers and data backups. Responsibilities include Tier 3 Infrastructure support, escalated Desktop Support ticket resolution, systems and network monitoring and documentation. System Administrator will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in resolving issues, as well as submit documentation for work completed.

The System Administrator is also responsible for:

  • Administration of all Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers.  Includes managing and administrating Windows File Servers (DFRS), Terminal Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy. 
  • Administration of the enterprise backup strategy and constant analysis and documentation of the disaster recovery readiness for the entire organization.
  • Daily management of log files, backups, provide Tier 3 support for Desktop Support Team.
  • Perform server troubleshooting and remediation including hands-on fixes at the server level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Performs software installations, updates, coordination, control, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, usage and log monitoring following system procedures of all components of our data infrastructure.
  • Prioritize and schedule multiple tasks. Resolve escalated Tier 3 Desktop Support problems.
  • Assistance with administering Active Directory and have experience with server OS and security to include OS lockdown, NTFS permissions, and Group Policy
  • Managing Windows patching, anti-virus, performance monitoring systems servers.
  • Follow and adhere to IT Quality Standards policy and procedure (including change management, incident handling and inventory). Perform post-resolution follow-ups to outages\upgrade events.


  • Must have ability to leverage internet, knowledge base and support resources, to proactively manage systems, ensure license compliance and maintain documentation.  Assist Information Technology Manager with support\maintenance agreements for all server hardware and software.
  • Ability to work night and weekends when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of training end-users in; software applications and operating system fundamentals.
  • Create and update process and system documentation
  • Provide cross functional support, ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.
  • Optimize, improve and expand server/network connectivity as deemed necessary by the network management
    • Refer selected problems to 3rd party contractors. If equipment is under warranty, contact manufacturer/contractor for warranty repair or replacements. For some hardware repairs - drive replacements, power supply replacements, fuser roller repairs - a 3rd party contractor can be called in for assistance or repair

  • Candidates must have excellent diagnostic abilities and demonstrated multi-tasking and independent problem solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience; 3 years’ experience in server support operations, and 3 years in backups and server architecture required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server required, specifically troubleshooting.
  • The candidate should also have a strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, and should have a complete understanding of common network service technologies such as AD, DNS, DHCP, IIS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, WMI.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 Technologies
  • Administrative experience with VMware & Hyper V preferred.
  • Working knowledge of EqualLogic SANs, ISCI switches, and VTL de-duplication technologies a plus
  •  Juniper switching and routing experience a plus
    • Veritas\Backup Exec experience preferred


    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred.  Microsoft MCSE 2003 or MCITP 2008 Server Administrator or Enterprise Administrator preferred


    • Candidates will be expected to provide work independently on larger projects as directed by the Information Technology Manager. 


    • Symantec Endpoint Protection and PGP encryption experience preferred
